Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Shoreline
A chopper flying over a popular southern California beach suddenly started spinning wildly, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Recordings posted on social media capture the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then falling towards the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
