According to recent statistics, the population of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of male individuals reaching 100 has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the amount of female individuals reaching 100 nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from those aged 100 or over, their relatives or close ones, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and changes.
